Explorer Mode

In some of Baldi's Basics games, Explorer Mode lets the player explore the school without being chased by Baldi. This mode is also known as Free Run Mode and Free-Roam Mode.

Gameplay

Baldi's Basics Plus

• In this mode, right after Baldi finishes counting down, he will disappear, leaving the player free to explore the school.
• The You Can Think Pad won't appear when the player tries to collect a notebook.
• While Baldi is still present on the field trips, he won't try to hunt down the player.
• The player can't access the ending after completing the game in Explorer Mode. Instead, they need to finish the game in Hide-and-Seek Mode to see it.

Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered

• This mode is shown as “Free Run” and is accessible from the Fun Settings in Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered.
• Right from the start, Baldi won't be present inside the school.
• Other non-playable characters appear inside the school from the start.
• In the Classic and Party Styler, when collecting a notebook, no math question will be shown to the player. In the Demo Style, the Baldi's Math Machine won't glitch out.
• The exit routes won't be closed if the player tries to go through them.
• If the player completes the game in this mode, no secrets or achievements will be unlocked.

Trivia

• Originally known as “Free Run”, Explorer Mode was first introduced in Baldi's Basics Kickstarter Exclusive Demo along with the official description: “You can explore freely in this mode!”.
