Hollow Knight is a 2D Metroidvania-style action game, set in the crumbling underground insect kingdom of Hallownest. Play as a silent knight, adventure through underground passages, cities, and other worlds in search of answers about a fallen kingdom and a terrible plague.
Attack the Enemies
You will explore a large, interconnected environment in Hollow Knight. Initially, many areas will be inaccessible unless you find new skills or tools. Attack enemies with Nails, a melee weapon, and use SOULS to heal yourself or unlock spells that allow you to attack from a distance.
The game's currency, Geo, is dropped by defeated enemies and can be used to purchase maps. You will lose control of Geo when you respawn at the last bench resting after the Knight's defeat. To get them back, you will need to face and eliminate your ghost, or dead soul. Through the dark passages of Hallownest, you will face over 40 bosses and dozens of miniboss encounters and discover the depth of the secret plot through mythology and NPCs.
Tips and Tricks
- Get the map from Cornifer before you get lost; after you get lost, explore the areas on it.
- Choose equipment that suits your playstyle in terms of offense and defense.
- Avoid wasting Souls by using them wisely.
